Big Ball Program
Washington USSSA
BIG BALL CLASSIFICATION GUIDELINES:
For the most part, we will try to allow teams to play where they want. There will be exceptions to this. A player's individual slow pitch "tag" will carry very little weight in determining whether or not they are allowed to play in the lower division. However, as a group, those tags will be looked at. In other words, if you are a men's B player, we may not have a problem with you playing in the lower division, depending on how the rest of the roster looks. However, a team made up entirely of C and B players would probably be asked to start in the upper, due to the majority of the roster being extremely experienced in slowpitch.
Players from states other than Washington State will be dealt with on an individual basis.
THE UMPIRE OR THE COACHES CANNOT DECIDE TO ALTER THE ABOVE RULES.
A 10-15-20 run rule will be used in all games. THIS RULE INCLUDES EQUALIZER GAMES.
All games are played at a NO NEW INNING AFTER 55 Minutes.
The “Flip-Flop” rule will be in place at all levels of play.
STRIKE ZONE:
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO USE STRIKE ZONE MATS. NO MATTER IF A MAT IS USED THE STANDARD USSSA STRIKE ZONE AND PITCH COUNT IS IN PLACE.
EQUIPMENT RULES:
1. Bats: - At this time, all bats are legal.
2. Gloves: - Players may use any size/style of glove at any position. Players may also use no glove if they choose.
3. Balls: - All balls will be provided by the Tournament Director.
